For variable delay time (flexible delay time setting) reset ICs, is it ok to forcibly reset by providing an external switch at the CT pin?
- Connecting the CT pin to ground using a switch enables manual reset operation. As a precaution, please be careful as the CT pin is at high impedance and connecting a circuit or switch that can leak while OFF may affect the capacitor delay time, resulting in malfunction. Furthermore, when connecting the external reset signal of the CMOS output, since the capacitor is instantaneously charged by driving the CT pin at an impedance much lower than the internal resistance that charges the capacitor, the rise delay time cannot be set.
