These new cooktop models incorporate a comprehensive set of navigation functions to aid in cooking, such as ‘Simmer Assist,’ ‘Stew Assist,’ and ‘Pot Position Guidance.’ In response, ROHM has developed advanced ICs that significantly expand the variety of voice guidance features, facilitating meal preparation.
Key features include built-in flash memory for extended playback along with fault detection functions like high-temperature anomaly detection and speaker disconnection monitoring. ROHM’s speech synthesis ICs were previously used in earlier models, but this time products with built-in flash memory were adopted that allow voice data to be rewritten. These ICs incorporate a high quality, high compression algorithm that enables the addition of a large number of voice phrases.
